1968 in Louisiana

There were only 619 XR7-Gs built. They were built along side the Shelby Mustang, and were available with every engine and transmission offered in 1968, (except the 427). This was the first Cougar to be a part of the Hertz Rent a Racer program. If you have any information about these rare cats, this is the place to share. The XR7-G registry is maintained by Royce Peterson.

I don't know if this video has been posted before, but there is a wrecked XR7G just after the 13 minute mark if you don't want to watch the entire clip.
Location is RT 190 Junkyard in Walker, Louisiana
Brian Carpenter is mentioned and some photos of his car are included as well as Al Juraco's GT-E.

It was posted here maybe 2 years ago - I spoke with Jerry Heasly, he did not get the VIN and so far no one else seems to have it either.
