Re: Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2018 - Fantasy Bid
I saw this Boss 302 car in person, although it was solid, it was not fully detailed or correct to the highest standards. $100K was indeed strong money for the car, but I get the feeling that within the upper end of the muscle car market, many collectors are growing tired of all the Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles etc, and are perhaps searching for something more unique. A Boss 302 Cougar certainly fits that definition.

I matched you Bill! I had a great time meeting you in Dearborn and you left quite an impression. Cheers, nice donation, and congrats! BCougar Bill wrote: ↑20 Jan 2018, 13:30I would like to give back to the "Classic Cougar Community".
So I am donating $50 that would be the "winnings" and matching that amount for a total of $100.
Let me know where to send a check or do you want me to do the "Donate" button?
Speaking of "Donating" how about it folks?
Anybody care to match the $50? or how about a simple $5.00 to show your support for a great place & great people!
Thanks everyone!

I about crapped my pants when I saw this car hit $100K!!!! I knew nothing about the car....just looked shiny on an HD screen........ After watching the other cars that got to 100+ was amazing......while as someone else mentioned, Mustang Boss's were sliding out the door for under 50K.....was disgusting!!!! Shelby KR's were all over the map........... no logic WAAAAAY over detailed pickups were bringing insane money.....you'd never be able to haul ass, let alone a bag of groceries or a 12 pack of beer in the damned things for fear of scratching the mirror paint jobs!!!! Sunday saw bargains galore....... whale bidders were gone.....
What got me was a HUGE mistake by Steve Magnante about a beautiful 70 Mach1 on Friday...... something to the effect of ...... " the 1970 trunklid has a prop rod to support the newer heavy spoiler now made of aluminum"...... WHAT!!!?????...has this guy been smoking????? For such a supposed expert, I cannot believe that he no-brainered this one....... Where the hell he came up with this BS is beyond me......... I have never ever heard of such a rumor or report ever in almost 50 years of fiberglass reinforced "sheet molding compound" produced parts for cars!
Cheers!
