1969 Cougar Eliminator Production Stats

For two years the Eliminator roamed the streets looking for prey. Although you could get an engine available from Mercury in the Eliminator, the Cobra Jet 428 and Super Cobra Jet 428 were common under the hood. This was also the only Cougar to get the Boss 302. The Eliminator Registry is maintained by Dave Wyrwas.

Thanks.
Hi Harry,

I found an article that mentions Canadian '69 Eliminators. I thought you might find it interesting. It says 100 Eliminators shipped to Canada for 1969.

Mike, thanks. I'd already read that article but still not sure that was the correct number since I was told 10%.

Updated '69 Boss 302 numbers, adding 10 white cars, 6 with blue interior, for the close-ratio 4-speed cars.
I also removed the "16? White (M)" boss 302 cars total, as I have no data to confirm this number. Based on 10 white close-ratio Boss cars, I think 16 total is wrong.

Got a slew of Marti Reports from Diego, so I'm going through them and updating the stats.

Thanks Diego!

Updated 390 / auto / White (27 of them) / Blue interior number (8 of them)
Updated 390 / auto / White (27 of them) / Black interior numbers (17 of them)
Math says 17+8=25, leaving 2 white on white 390 auto Eliminators.

Also added R-code / 4spd / Orange / White Interior drag pak numbers

83 of the 2,250 Mercury Cougar 2-door hardtops with the Eliminator Package built during the 1969 model year were DSO'd to Canada, which is 3.69%.
