1988 F250 beltline rubber

#1

Post by TomL »

I need to purchase new door beltline rubber seals for my '88 F250. Was looking at Steele Rubber Products, but this route is expensive. Not ruling it out, especially if they are made in USA. NPD has them at a good price, but the reviews are very limited. 1AA_Auto has a nice deal for both exterior and interior rubber.

I would really like to stay away from Chinese products, especially after what that country has just unleashed on all of mankind.

Looking for recommendations. Thanks in advance!

You might also try Green Sales Company, greensalescompany.com. They sell NOS FoMoCo parts, have reasonable prices, and have been a great source of parts for my '73 Marquis Brougham. They have a parts look up feature on the site if you have the part number; if not, just call them and they'll look it up quickly and quote availability and price.

Good luck.

Dennis, thanks for your suggestion.

I contacted Steele Rubber Prods and they confirmed that they do not make these beltline rubber seals but outsource them. I asked them where they were made and she couldn't tell me. I asked "China?" and she couldn't confirm that either.

So I called Green Sales and they had both left and right side exterior window seals. About $60 each but they are Ford NOS and should arrive today.

Update 5/15/2020:. Rubber seals arrived today, NOS Ford and made in USA. Very nice parts.

Thanks again.
