Issues with a 215/70/14 tire?

Make your Cougar run faster, handle better, and jump higher... okay maybe not jump higher. If you feel the need for speed, this is the place.

Issues with a 215/70/14 tire?

I'd like to run a set of Mastercraft Avengers on my 68. It still has it's factory 14X6 rims and it currently running a 205 series tire. But the Avenger starts at a 215...would there be any fitment issues going from a 205 to a 215?

That tire should fit as it's just slightly larger in diameter. To be sure , find a junk 215, have it mounted and put it on the car. Then you'll know for sure.

I've always had 215s on my 68. They fill the wheel openings perfectly.
1968 XR-7 Augusta Green, J-Code, 5 litre, Autolite 6100, 5 spd, convertible with heated seats, cruise control and rear sway bar.

BTW, I think electronic ignition is pointless.
