1970 XR7 Convertible first car

From dusty barn find to daily driver, it seems our cars are never really done. This is the place to share your progress on your project car. We will celebrate your victories and commiserate over your tragedies. But most of all this is a great place to learn!

Competition gold is definitely a rare color and a color I would have on my list if I ever decided to restore my car again or bring it back to it's original state once again.
Good luck with the restoration and don't forget to post a few pics when your cat has it's gold skin on.

Figured I’d add an update sense Leroy R requested one. My latest mod from a few months ago is the 1969 Mustang boss drag pack Detroit locker rearend converted to 28 spline with 3.50 gears.

The last thing the shop did before I hit the road from Michigan to Texas was replace axle bearings and convert the pumpkin from open 3.00 to posi 3.00.

Wow, great progress. Makes me want to get out and tackle some of the work on my Cougars.
