Gry's car was featured on Legendary Cougars magazine last year. She did a stunning job. Beautiful car.

I have a '70 Cougar Eliminator, which is one of 100 Hertz Rent-a-Car Eliminators for that year. All of these cars had a sunroof.
1. I am looking on the forum to see if anyone has installed the sunroof headliner in one of these cars and could help me understand how to do it.
2. I bought the car apart and in primer, so I have no idea how the sunroof headliner was installed before I bought it. It looked to me like there is no place to install a regular headliner bow, unless they go under the large "box" where the sunroof panel retracts into?
3. The 68 XR7-G Hertz Restoration install above appeared to use just 2 headliner bows with a regular headliner and it surely came out NICE!!

The sunroof panel has a flimsy frame that the headliner is attached to. The flimsy frame with material slips into position with clips into the main sunroof panel. I’ll see if I can get a pic of the flimsy frame for you.

This is info I am interested in also - as I will be facing the same challenge in the future.

I know it doesn't answer this specific question, but here are some pics I have taken of installed sunroof headliner from a very original Hertz G.
