Interior Lights

Post by Comp Elimn8r » 05 Oct 2019, 17:17

Hi Guys, just wondering if anyone has any good interior roof lining pics for a sunroof car?
id just like to know if a sunroof Eliminator had any changes compared to other models and interior light locations.
I read on here XR7's got C pillar lights but ive seen pics of some cars with them and without.
On a Falcon the interior light is in the centre of the roof or moved to next to the driver side above the door if fitted with a sunroof.
I also discovered my Eliminator had the loom and holes in the front of the doors for courtesy lights but the (xr7) donor doors didn't.
Thanks in advance, these are the only pics Ive found so far

I highly doubt that your car had a roof dome light whether mounted in the center of the roof or off to side of the sunroof. If an interior light package was ordered it would include the lights you show in the C pillar and lights on the door panels. All Eliminators and XR-7s should have wiring going into each door. At a minimum those cars would be equipped with the door ajar warning light.

The c pillar lights were part of the courtesy light group which was a separate option on all standards. If you have decor interior, you would have had door panel lights and under dash lights and that's it. No dome light with sunroof cars and no automatic c pillar lights either.

Ok thanks fellas I guess no c pillar lights and no door ones either.
I guess you used the light above the clock if needed otherwise it would be pretty dark to read something?
The original Eliminator doors had the wiring inside but standard door trim panels with no holes for the courtesy lights.
Was the C pillar trim supplied as a separate item as it looks to be 2 part roof lining.
not sure why the lining just wouldn't extend down to the inside trim

Yes, the C pillar lower section has a cardboard like piece covered in a paper fabric which is where the c pillar lights would be located if so equipped.
