Looking for a painter in Seattle area...

Nobody wants to paint completes anymore it seems. One place said he can make as much doing a smaller insurance job than a total paint job. I'd hate to settle on Maaco or the like. Thanks

Contact Brandon at Automotive Images on the Federal Way/Milton border on Hwy 99. I don't know what your budget or time frame is but he does absolutely fantastic high-end work.

Thanks for the tip... I'll check him out. We do have a budget of no more than, $3000 hopefully enough.

That won't go far at Automotive Images. To stay within that budget, I'd suggest buying your own materials, doing your own prep work and paying a place like Maaco to spray it for you. Unfortunately, quality materials will take up most of your budget.

Im not sure about your market but you should be able to get a driver quality paint job for close to that. 3k wont get you a high end restoration type paint job but If your going to drive the car it should work just fine. I painted mine for $3500(granted some trading of work happened but that was the agreed upon amount both ways). Aso my car was very straight so there was not much body work needed besides the usual dings etc. I did all the disassembly so they could paint all the jams, floor pans, etc. I then reassembled and aligned all the panels back on the car before the final body and paint work happened. Im extremely happy with how it turned out for how much I paid so do your shopping and take your time finding a shop that can work in your budget.

Yeah, I forgot to say that were doing all the prep... all the glass, bumpers, interior etc. is off. Were sanding, priming, paper and taping. So I hope that will lower the price enough.
