1975 XR7 Trunk to Back Seat “Divider”

Post by Dmackenzie » 13 Jan 2018, 19:25

Im looking for a possible aftermarket piece(I know I can find anything between 67-70 but it’s not the same) I do believe it changed in 74 that the divider wasn’t solid with the exception of the holes cut out for the trunk hinges. In 74+ they changed to an open design with just braces running from the divider to the top piece where your rear speakers/upper part of the backing for the back seat clipped onto. I was wondering if there is any piece that is available for replacement or am I going to have to fabricate something? I’ve added a couple pics to show what I mean but forgive me about lighting quality. Thanks for any and all help

I may not be looking at it right, but it looks like a trunk floor to me. There may be additional bracing that I can't make out, but I think you're going to have to fab it or find a salvage yard to cut out the pieces you're looking for from a rust-free car.
