If you have a cougar, you may want to change that to XR7. ;)

I'm sorry I'm new to this forum but I'm assuming your asking for my vin number. Is this going to tell us the history of our cougar, I have had mine since 2001 but blew the motor and finally rebuilt it again. Getting back into it.

James, all the VIN will tell us is what year the car is, where it was built, which model it is, what engine was originally in it, and how far down the line it was manufactured.

OK I will definitely do it but paper Work is in car right now. Is there any other information they are asking for other than the door jamb info

James,
If you register your car with the CCOA National Database we try to get as much information as possible. We like to have information like VIN, door data plate codes, buck tag codes, additional options, current mileage, current condition, a copy of the Marti and/or Eminger report, copies of original selling dealer paperwork, any known past history, and current owners name and contact information (which is never given out without their permission). Not every car in the database will have all this information, we just try to get as much information on a car as possible.

OK, got my paper Work. Car is getting a transmission rebuild right now, should have it by Saturday afternoon. If I recall correctly I would say the door tag is still on it but can't be certain. I bought this car from some guy who was selling it for his uncle, so he says.
Year first sold shows 00/00/68, probably just a generalization by the DMV.
Vin # 8R93J521745
1968 Xr7 cougar 302 5.0 4bbl
Automatic c4
No center console, looks like it was originally red outside with red interior.
Southern california
Also has tilt away steering which doesn't Work, need the reservoir under passenger side fender. Tried to seal it on my own, didn't Work, looks like a cement cylinder lol, lots of jb weld
