Thanks for best wishes. I live in Spokane and have bought a few parts from Don and have met Neil a few times. I’ve had the Coupe and Stag for over 40 years. The Cougars over 4 years Was just ready to drop a 69 351w in the 70. My 69 was all original Ca black plates and a M code car

Man I am so sorry this happened to you and your family. I went through a similar experience in 2007 when my parents house burned down. My 69 mustang and my dads 67 Cougar were both in the garage. Although losing the cars is very upsetting, losing all the personal memories like pictures are the worst part of it. Hold your family tight thankful you have each other’s health and support. These are the times where you know who your true family and friends are as they support you through this. Stay strong. Here’s a pic of when our house burned down, mustang on the right and the cougar on the left

So sad to hear of your loss. I know they are just "things", but these old cars often represent years of family memories. Take care dealing with the adjusters- don't let them rush you into a settlement. Make sure ALL of your communications with the insurance co are in writing.

BTW, I think electronic ignition is pointless.

The steam cleaner still has red paint on it. The blue strip on the roof cap is still blue as it fell into the shop. The round thing in fronts of the steam cleaner is my coupe with a baby hemi in that has never been fired and looks like it might be intact at least. All the major heat was in the back and worked its way toward where I’m standing
On the other side of the 37 coupe is my dry walled paint booth That is where my 69 cougar is. My theory is if the side wall caved in as-it did it might have shielded the 69. On the very outside of the west wall of the shop is a 60 Willy’s Wagon that miraculously is untouched Not even a melted tail light. Can’t see a thing inside from where the Willy’s is because there is sheet rock everywhere in the only area to peek and see. I’m praying the 69 is in a virtual cacoon and if there is a glimpse of hope for it it will be the only reason I ever turn a wrench again. At 62 now it might be time to stop crawling under toys.

dude that sucks! Obviously happy you and your family where not injured in anyway but that has got to be an hard emotional hit to loose everything like that. Lets face it to us gear heads our cars are just as much of a memory as anything else you hang on too. Hopefully you have enough insurance to help recover most of the loss.
