Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2018 - Fantasy Bid

#1

It seems that the 2018 BJ-Scottsdale auction has only one Cougar in the line-up...

Lot 1040.2 -- 1970 Boss 302 Eliminator

Place your bid...

As is my tradition, I'll buy a $50 WCCC gift certificate* for the person who fantasy bids closest on this Cat. Eligible bids need to be posted here before the car gets on stage (scheduled for Friday, 1/19). Only one entry per person. Use the "hammer" price before commissions. Closest can be over or under, but under wins in event of a tie. You can edit your bid, so long as you do it before the car hits the stage. Void where prohibited. Judge's ruling is final. Your mileage may vary.

*WCCC gift certificates have had technical issues, so this might turn into a PayPal gift if I can't figure it out (or Don doesn't remind me how to do the work-around).

If you are planning to attend the auctions, be sure to check out the annual gathering at Scott Taylor's place, and keep an eye out for announcements of other gatherings.

We have been having folks that want to gift another call (or send a check) and place an in-store credit on their account. Do not have an account? We will make one for you and place a $50 store credit on the books for you. We had a lot of people losing their gift codes and some folks were frustrated that the gift card codes were only available for online purchases. Just seems like a lot less frustration for our customers this way, especially our more senior customers. Thank you for promoting WCCC Rob! This has always been a lot of fun.

It would be nice if they could get through the first sentence without making a mistake...
"Lot #1040.2 - 1970 was the first year for the Eliminator package and this car is one of only 146 built with the Boss 302ci V8 engine and the wide-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. "

What about all of those '69 Eliminators?

I am optimistic that it will be north of $120,000, I will be conservative and go for $87,302.

It would be neat to see a 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, etc all at the same auction to see what the market will bring for a top representation of each the the early years and even some of the later Anniversary and Roush models.

Lots of great plans for 2018...
