Does anyone know where to find the best rebuild kit for an fmx transmission? I notice none of them come with bands anymore.

Take a look at bulkpart.com as well. You have to order the bands separately though but you might want to do a teardown first and find out if you need bushings as well that are not included either.

I would recommend a TransGo 3-67 shift kit for the FMX too. Blue stripe modulator. Like Allenman85, I would recommend taking it apart first. If the intermediate (front) band isn't burnt, you really don't need it. Plus, if it is the cast band, those are hard to find. The flex band is the popular replacement. When changing from the cast to flex, you also need to change the struts---which as far as I know are no longer available. So, if your intermediate band is cast and no burnt, go back with it.

Bulkpart has good pricing. Or you can find a local trans parts supplier like Transtar or independent. Depends where you are located.
