No turn signals

#1

Post by 69XR7RestoMod » 12 Dec 2017, 17:52

Hoping I can get some help, as I'm not sure where too start looking. When I turn on my turn signals, I hear the flasher clicking, but have no dash indicator or turn signals front or rear.

I'm running all incandescent lights, original flasher box in trunk and a solid state flasher.

Every light on the car works, headlights, tail lights, marker lights, brake lights and hazards all function correctly.

When I push the brake, all the tail lights come on until I turn on one of the signals, then that side goes dark instead of flashing.

I did check the connections on the sequencer box and they all appear to be dry and tight.

so where do I go next?

Would appear to be a grounding issue..

How do you figure? Grounding where?

Either at the sequencer box or internally.

Could be a bad connection in the turn signal switch.

So I happened to have an old 552 flasher laying around. I replaced the electronic flasher with the 552 and the turn signals work fine (actually as well as they can with a 552).

So I just need to order a new electronic flasher. Apparently, even though it wasn't flashing the lights, it still clicks and sounds like it works.
