Powdercoating a hood latch

#1

Post by 69XRRR7 » 08 Dec 2017, 20:20

Has anyone had the hood latch mechanism on there car powdercoated? I am concerned about the moving parts and if they would be affected by the powdercoating. I want to do the latch assembly on the 69. Any input would be appreciated.

I powder coated the hood latch assembly on my 69 also and absolutely no problems. Harbor Freight powder coating setup and an old used oven is all one needs. I purchase all my powders from Columbia Coating.

Powder coated almost all of my front end parts to my headlight assembly, no problems at all. Including my hood latch as well..

thanks
