Seems like there would be less unknowns if the car is already stripped.

If Dave's local guy does not work out for you I know someone here that I believe would be willing to do the job. Of course that would mean bringing the car to PA.

Thanks folks, would appreciate any and all ideas about reputable painters that can do this wok. I've spoken to over 25 shops and all said no.

Totally agree. There are dings and dents to repair - but the there are NO mysteries here. It is a straightforward job - though obviously any good paint work entails thorough and time consuming prep...

After a long hiatus, an update on our fire damaged '71 XR7 vert. Car fully disassembled and body media blasted. Last week it was finally transported to my painter where it will be resurrected to it's former glory. Meanwhile, all wiring and underhood components have been repaired, replaced so the reassembly will go quickly.

It will be good to have it back - we missed driving it!

Meanwhile, we acquired another toy - just to ease our sadness. :P

Sweet.

This is the first I’ve read about the accident. Just want to say I’m glad everyone was ok. Cars are great, but loved ones are most important.
