Just finished a 100 mile round trip through the local mountains in the 69 for lunch. Found out the front right caliper isn't sliding all that well and the brakes were a bit smelly after the 4km 13 degree downhill run with 20kph hairpin turns. Time for a caliper rebuild

Took the boys to local cruise last night and won a plaque, the Eliminator drew a big crowd, it was great hanging out and talking muscle cars.

Wow - what a great looking cat! You have it sitting just right - nice to see those fender wells filled in like that. Love the Torq Thrusts! SCJ DP isn't too shabby, either!
Very cool that you are sharing the passion with your kids!

Yesterday I took my boys (7 and 9) with me to Belle Isle in Detroit to watch the hydroplane races. This is a long standing event in the Detroit area that my grandparents used to take me to when I was a kid. They had a great time poking around on the beach and in the river while we, OK mainly me, watched the boats. Lots of thumbs up and great comments about the car. Beautiful day for a drive to the city with my sons.

got back yesterday from my 2nd 1000 mile trip this year.
Another trip to Gatineau, with "errands" all over the Ottawa area.
I'm seriously considering adding hood pins. Meeting tractor trailers at about 80mph really scares me what with all the hood shaking.
and... Thanks for the ride Bob!

Managed a couple of hundred miles today. Went up to Cars and Coffee and saw one other Cougar there. A purple 68 with 70 eliminator striping on it. Lots of cool stuff. Lots of comments on the Cougar throughout the day -- both at C&C and out and about afterwards.

You can see my car in the background starting at about 6:20: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tUPRYKtucE

I don't have any pics of the 68, sorry. Also a nice 69 Mach 1 that looked to be a 390 4spd originally (hood down, no emblems)

My pup drove today. The Cougar is my family commuter vehicle to the local pool, so today was its last commute for 2017. Well, for that purpose at least.

YES!!!!!!!!

And I haven't been able to say this for a LONG time.

I installed a set of CalTracs last week. Today I wanted to pull the car out so I could place some patio furniture up in my shop attic for winter. So of course, the Two Terrors and I had to test the Tracs out.

The car has not been off my property in five years!! Yet we threw caution to the wind and went for a short blast through the neighborhood. No insurance and expired plates. I almost forgot what a rush it is to drive this car. I didn't want to go back home.

But back in the shop it went so I can tear into the front end next.

I got the Cougar out for a nice drive yesterday. Drove to St Charles and down to Riverside Dr. On the way home on the highway a guy and his girlfriend on a beautiful Harley caught up to me and made enough "noise" to get my attention for the head nod and huge smile from the girl before passing on by. You guys all know how that can make your day!
