Congrats. She's a beauty!

Quick question... how hard was it to remove the cowl cover?
I'd love to try that on our 67. Is it do-able?

In your case it is a LOT of work. The cowl cover on a 67-68 is welded in place. So if you want to remove it you will be drilling out a LOT of spot welds. For the 69-70 Cougars the cowl cover is bolted on and very easy to remove. If you do a search on here you will find several threads (probably in the projects section) where the cowl cover on a 67-68 has been removed to do repairs under it. That will really show you how much work it is.

Yikes. I don't want to/need to get in there THAT much.
I thought, if it was as easy as it is for the 69/70's, I'd give it a go with my son.

Thanks.

I don't think the threads were cut all the way down.
