A 390, 428, and 427. Plus the 351C version if wanting to cover all classic year engines.

The other ideas would not be a reproduction but rather a new part. If we can make this one fly we will crunch the numbers and see if a more expensive, less in demand renditions would make sense but my guess is not.

If they do it right, they would modifications to existing products. The Buddy Bar casting system used an interchange plate that could say Cougar or Cobra.

And that is exactly what they are doing, modifying the COBRA intake to say COUGAR. Doing a 351c intake is not going to be so easy.

They also did a Holman Moody intake.

That intake would definitely make a Cougar special. Of course, I didn't even pay that much for the entire car ...

I went to look at the 6V version of the 289 - 302 Cougar intake in 1975. It was complete with carbs and linkage. Guy wanted $450 for it. I was making $129 a week take home. No way to make it happen then.

This one might look expensive but where else are you going to find one?

BTW I will take trades on this item if it makes it easier, you can also take as long as you need to pay.

We all have a "one that got away" story. Mine is regarding this intake. Back in the early 1980's just after I bought my first Cougar (a 1967), I went to a swap meet. Some guy had a small speed shop there, and had this intake hanging on the wall. I ask him how much for the intake, as I thought it would look great on my new Cougar. $100 he said. No way, I said, since you could buy a brand new Edelbrock 4V intake for almost the same price then. So I passed on it, wish I hadn't, but who knew it was that rare....LOL
