I have not been on here for awhile so do not know if you have found a vehicle. I do have a 1968 XR-7 302 4V, Lime green frost (lime frost poly) completely redone to mostly original. Wheels are 15" chrome mags with the original 14" rims set aside, engine slightly over bored with a modest cam upgrade and valves redone. C4 transmission and engine are matching numbers and I have a Marty report. All the floors have been gone over and are solid. It is warm stored in the winter and never driven after October to avoid any salt here in Minnesota. It has less than 200 miles on the restore but has a few minor issues. The window cranks were supposed to be good quality show stuff but broke off after a few cranks, so I am looking to replace them. I am doing a remodeling project which may require moving the vehicle to a more attentive owner. You can email me at nbstorman@aol.com if I do not respond here.

Highly unlikely that the original poster will see your post. He/she has not been active on the board since 5 minutes after joining in September of 2016.

Sounds like a really nice Cougar though! Properly working windows don't require much force to operate so you might want to get inside the doors and remove the old grease and re-lubricate the regulators.
