Not a Cougar, but looking for a BSA motorcycle

Of course you want an Eliminator with a sunroof (well any Cougar really). List it here and cross your fingers!

Not a Cougar, but looking for a BSA motorcycle

Post by 1970FastCat » 20 Nov 2012, 07:55

I know, not a cat,but im not having much luck anywhere else. Looking for a mid to late 60's 650 BSA project bike. Doesnt have to be 100% complte, but would like most or all the major pieces there. I know I will have very little luck here, but like I said, not really finding anything. Only restored or chopped bikes out ther for the most part. You out there Andy? You may be my best chance here.

That would actually be perfect, but almost in too good of shape. Really looking for a basket case. Hate to cut on an original bike. And it is a little far. I just cant find anything in the southeast. There are 2 guys down here that buy them all up. I have actually been in touch with both of them, and may buy something from one of them if I dont find something else. Going to build a cafe/land speed type bike with lots of go, as much as one can get out of a 45 year old air cooled 650 anyway.

Yeah I thought maybe it was too complete.

There is a cycle salvage yard up the road from me, I'll give them a call.

Thanks Zman. All the cycle yards that I know of around here are gone. The only 2 that I know that are still around are indoors, and all british, and owned by the 2 guys I mentioned earlier.

So I found one, the hunt is off. Getting it from one of the 2 hoarders here in GA. Its 95% complete and will be the perfect base for my plans.

I was just gonna tell you I saw one in the AACA magazine for sale...might be nicer than you wanted though.
