Too bad it's only a 4" barrel. I'm looking for a 5".

For 1100 bucks I could find something a lot nicer, better shooting, and not so out of date. Not that a model 1911 isn't a decent gun, but for half, I can have a Sig Sauer P250 .45, and have a better gun.

In retrospect, guess I got lucky. Several (many) years ago, when I was commissioned as a LT in the Army, my brother gave me a new Colt Combat Commander with pachmayr grips as a gift. It was my primary carry for many years and still works as well as the first time I fired it.
