XR7 GT-E W-Code 427 Lime Frost/BVT/Parchment

Post by ultimatecougar » 02 Feb 2018, 23:59

Selling my XR7 427 GT-E. All original, numbers matching drivetrain, one repaint in the original colour, Lime Frost green in 1990. Black vinyl top, tinted glass, console, AM/8 Track, 3.50 Traction Loc. Parchment leather/vinyl interior seats redone with a Distinctive seat kit from WCCC [added rare headrest seats], with new carpet set and re-chromed dash pieces, rare original OTC running cat valve covers. Sold new at Suburban Motors, Victoria B.C., Canada. Original owners manual included with deluxe Marti report. The car is a very nice driving, rust free, original sheetmetal example with great history that is well known to Mr. Pinkerton, the GT-E registrar. The car is located in B.C., about 45 minutes from the U.S. border. Price is $85K USD, firm. I believe one would be hard-pressed to find a nicer, more original car in this price range. Please, serious inquiries only for more information. Thank you, Malcolm.

Sorry to hear you are selling your GT-E, it is a beautiful car.

Have you considered posting your ad with photos in the next issue of ATSOTC? You can email details to editor@CougarClub.org we have been working on making ATSOTC bigger and better, just an idea to help share your ad with Cougar Enthusiasts that may not be on the web.

With the 50th Anniversary excitement also posting to the free classifieds on www.CougarClub.org would also gain attention.

If I can help in any way please reach out to me Chair@CougarClub.org

Good luck, Malcolm! I got to know this car when I polished and pinstriped it right before Malcolm bought it. It was nice then and it has only been improved under Malcolm's ownership. This is a great car at a phenomenal price.

Here are a few pictures I have of Malcolm's GT-E in the Fordnutz Member file folder. Some of the pictures are from 2013 just after he bought the car and before he did a bunch of work to improve a great number of things on the car.

Lovely car, and the price seems quite fair.

Thank you for all of the positive comments guys! Special thanks to you Scott for posting the photos. It's been a tough decision to make, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the car for the past 5 years and have decided to pass it on to a new caretaker. I haven't advertised it anywhere else yet in hopes that someone here in the Community would be interested first. If anyone would like to talk about the car I can be reached at 604 999 2427 or email tripowercougar@hotmail.com. Thanks again, Malcolm.

If I should win the lottery this week I'll give you a call. But, don't count on it. I too hope it will go to a person here.

How hard is it to get this Cougar into the States ? Malcolm sir, could you drive it across the border and then say fly back. I have also heard that Canadian cars don't need or have Titles. How do you then title it in the US ? I would love to own this GTE but would hate to spend a ton on Taxes and Fees.
Does anybody know the Facts, the Facts not ideas or guessing. Thanks
