73 XR7 Convertible value

I know where there is a 73 XR7 Convertible for sale. Would need some work. Been sitting in storage since the 80's It has 351W and an automatic.
Just curious what kind of money they bring restored? Their asking 3k and I'm tempted to go look at it. Would rather have something older with headlight doors though.

I would say $15,000 would be a mid point price range for a nice restored weekend show car driver.

Has it always been a Wisconsin car? Hopefully it never saw a winter. At $3k + engine +trans+ leather int + paint you are gasping for air. The Hayes boys in NY a few months ago had a beautiful 73 XR7 vert for $12K and they would deliver it. Check Hemmings.

Not sure if it has or not. Seller does claim in has rust in rear of front fenders and behind rear wheels.
Don't seem like it is worth sticking the funds into.
Would like to do an old truck anyway :)
