Re: Carb/Vacuum question

I think your vacuum line may be attached to the wrong port on the carburetor. I don't know edelbrock carbs very well, but I remember seeing several vacuum ports on them.

Re: Dash and headlights flash on and off

There is a circuit breaker in the headlight switch. If you have halogen headlight bulbs they draw too much current and yield the results that you describe. If you don't have halogen headlights then the switch needs to be replaced due to a weak circuit breaker. The circuit breaker go get week over t...

Re: location of sequential flasher can

The first diagram does not have a few of the XR-7 and GT items on it. This one should fill in any blanks. I have a full set of factory wiring diagrams for 1970 and 1971. I have some from 1969.

Re: Premium on Eliminators - worth it?

If someone wants to build a "tribute" or "Clone" car, more power to them. As long as the plan is not to deceive someone for monetary gain. I built 2 Eliminator Clones in my past. One back in the 80's when we never saw one around this part of the country and the other in the mid 90's to replace the r...

Re: 1970 with tilt and cruise?

The dealer would have had access to a Ford/Mercury install kit made by one of two suppliers (systems look different under the hood) They might have sent it out to Sears or another shop around town and tacked on some $$ for profit or installed the company system . Either would be noted on the factor...

Well I'm going to give this guy a shot at tuning it and getting everything squared away before I try anything else. I'll keep everyone posted to what happens. Thanks again to everyone who commented.
I think that is a good plan.

Re: New carb for 351C 4V????

by TheRktmn » 28 minutes ago After years of messing with Edelbrock, Demon and Holly carbs I finally installed a Summit M2008 series carb. Imagine if Holley and Autolite had a baby - the best features of both in one carb. You'd get the M2008. https://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/...
