1967 Cougar Standard Instrument Cluster Housing NOS

Here is a once in a lifetime find (actually twice, I found one in the early 90's). Minimal shelf wear, great for a low mile pristine un-restored car. Asking $450 plus shipping, will trade for used 67-8 PS xr7 or std bezels.

Wow! You do have a long line up of worthy project cars. I can honestly say after 28 years in business we have never had a line up like that. Rarely do we have more than 2 project cars at any one time.

What you have is very desirable... Put your original motor and trans on the shelf and buy a plug and play crate motor with aluminum heads and a 5 spd. It will out handle any big block car and be faster than most depending on what route you go.

Re: 67 tilt away column locking teeth will not move

The bail is probably bent. This happens when the pins work out which probably happened in the past at some point. The two owner 76k mile 68 I just sold on BaT had pins that had worked out and I have seen it happen on lower mile cars than that. https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/q3g5.html?attribs=75

Re: Found R-Code 1968 Cougar Today

That is really cool, was the car known to the registry? At some point it would be cool to let the previous owner take it for a spin once you get it going. The Cyclone is a super cool find as well, what are your plans for it? Any pics?

Re: 67 tilt away column locking teeth will not move

Is there a chance the turn signal switch is not 100% seated? It is imperative the correct screws are used. I always recommend installing these pins to be safe. https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/p/15384-Catch-Locking-Pawl-Tilt-Steering-Column-Repro-1967-1969-Mercury-Cougar-/-1967-1969-Ford-...

Can anyone spot the one part from a 68 and one part from a 69?
The console door and the rectangular antenna base.
I did not catch the antenna base. I noticed the 68 console door and what appears to be a 69-70 stainless deck moulding. Good eyes! You one upped me.

Re: Better way to change spark plugs in a 351C ?????

When you thread them back in attach a length of vacuum hose to the tip. Much easier to get them started that way
