Re: Original Factory Emblem Dyes?

The 69-70 version looks pretty tired, they have their own, usually the process changes quite a bit over the decades so often the tooling is obsolete for today's machines.

Notice the detail on this repro...

Are you sure you have to cut? This lever will finish it off nicely for an original look.

Re: So this happened this weekend

That was exactly how the perfect Cougar looked to me when I was a high school student. Go back to when I was a grade schooler, the only thing different would have been the addition of flames on the front.

1967 Cougar Standard Instrument Cluster Housing NOS

Here is a once in a lifetime find (actually twice, I found one in the early 90's). Minimal shelf wear, great for a low mile pristine un-restored car. Asking $450 plus shipping, will trade for used 67-8 PS xr7 or std bezels.

Wow! You do have a long line up of worthy project cars. I can honestly say after 28 years in business we have never had a line up like that. Rarely do we have more than 2 project cars at any one time.

Re: Possible trade for my 68 jcode 4 speed

What you have is very desirable... Put your original motor and trans on the shelf and buy a plug and play crate motor with aluminum heads and a 5 spd. It will out handle any big block car and be faster than most depending on what route you go.

Re: 67 tilt away column locking teeth will not move

The bail is probably bent. This happens when the pins work out which probably happened in the past at some point. The two owner 76k mile 68 I just sold on BaT had pins that had worked out and I have seen it happen on lower mile cars than that. https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/q3g5.html?attribs=75
