Re: 1969 XR-7 Clock Removal

If there are other things you were planning on doing while the dash pad is out, now is the time. Good luck. I pulled mine out for winter projects for my first time. Not that bad, just keep track of what screws go where. Lots of us use a piece of cardboard and jab the screws in like dots on a map, a...

Re: Search the database?

Can you check mine please? I just purchased it and am curious about if it has been added or not. 8F93F562287 Thank you Retcbpjp, your best bet is to visit the Cougar Club Registry page. From there you can enter all of your car's information ~ VIN and door tag data, and anything else you want to sha...

Wow, Hard to believe it has been a year...
I know! It was such a great time :-)

Was at the Hillsboro All Ford show today, and a few of us were chatting about there not being any West Coast "car tour" type of adventures to go on. Seems like they are all in the Mid-West.

Re: Couple "issues"...

Mike, you can disconnect the speedo cable at the tranny and give yourself some slack in the cable to get it hooked into the speedometer. Yes you got to get the square peg into the square hole correctly. Mine doesn't have the clip any more but stays in place just fine. Well, that was going to be my ...

Couple "issues"...

Hey gang, I have a couple things that are giving me trouble, and I'm hoping you can help. '70 steering column collar. How do I get that darn thing off? Speedo cable. How do I get it to clip back onto the speedometer? The plastic clip still appears to be intact, but I just can't get the cable to seat...

Re: Door panel storage.

That's a pretty cool setup. Hmm... move the shelves up and you can store irregular shaped parts in the bottom / underneath the shelves.

Re: Looking for a couple nuts and bolts...

Check the ones you have, see if they all have the same markings, then we can check the bucket o bolts & try to match it up. Looks like I have a mix of valve cover bolts, with most of them being #1 (left-most) B H, and a few being #4 "F" Valve Cover Bolts 2.JPG *Pic is from the Concours Mustang foru...

Are you fussy about the marking on the valve cover bolts? (i.e you want the circle B)
Truthfully, I hadn't thought about the markings. Mostly I want correct appearing bolts that don't scream "hello, I came from Ace!" :-)
