Re: In front of shock towe measurement?

If it's the same as 67-68, mine measures 39.75.

Re: XR7S and XR7S Inspired Taillight Bars

Wow, great info and nice work on the taillight bars. Not sure I'd want them, though as they'd just be another place for snow to pile up. Are fender mounted mirrors next?

Re: A sneak peek into the future...

Don I seem to remember you had mentioned some new abs plastic rear interior quarter panels were in the works. Are these them? That's them! Here's the listing on our site with better pics *cough cough* https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/rear-interior-panel-bare-pair-repro-1967-1968-mercury-cougar...

Re: A sneak peek into the future...

Do we have any indication as to the quality of these panels, i.e., will they actually fit?

Looks like a camshaft retainer for a SOHC 2.3 4-cylinder. Installs at the back of the head.
That makes sense. I owned a 79 Mustang back in my law school days. I guess it can go in the scrap bucket. Thanks.

I dunno... they look kinda cheesy, well, maybe not the white ones so much. Are those the actual lights we're talking about here?

Yet another mystery part thread

Found this in a box of misc Cougar/Ford bits. For the life of me I can't recall what it is. It has traces of dark Ford blue paint on it so Its likely an engine part of some sort. Anyone here recognize it?

Re: Leaf spring question

The stiffer AC springs compensate for the heavier cool air in the cabin.
