Re: shifting issues

Getting the TV cable attached at the right spot on the carb throttle lever is the key. I fought with this for a LONG time back when I ran AODs in my 68. The throttle lever and the TV lever on the transmission have to move exactly at a 1:1 ratio which in my case required slotting the hole on the thro...

Yes, when you place the subscription order all of he back issues ship to you right away. You will have a lot of reading in front of you!

Re: The latest issue of Legendary Cougar Magazine is live online

Bill, I regret having let my subscription lapse after Volume 1 (new baby in the household kinda messed things up a bit). If i resubscribe now, is there a way to get the six Vol. 2 issues that I missed?

Re: 71 convertible rams

The rams can be rebuilt if you're brave enough to do some cutting. Basically, you have to cut the very top of the cylinder to remove the head. Then you can change the seals. To reassemble, you re-crimp the cylinder to the head. I rebuilt mine a year or so ago and the work perfectly. I posted pics of...

Re: PLEASE WHAT AM I MISSING rear window trim

I wonder if it's a year-specific thing? Maybe you have the wrong trim. Call Don at WCCC- the guys there should be able to help.

Re: PLEASE WHAT AM I MISSING rear window trim

It's been a while since I've had a roof on my car, but I seem to recall that situation having to do with how far into the window opening the trim is pushed. The opening gets smaller the further inward the trim sits and that obviously affects where the clips meet the trim, however, based on your pics...

Re: Console pad conversion?

I'm not sure if that will work with a stock 4spd shifter--T5 shifter pivots just below the pad so it doesn't need much side to side clearance. I think the 4spd shifter pivots much lower, at the side of the transmission, right?

Re: belt line weatherstrips

I removed the clips and used small flat headed screws to hold mine in for the same reason you're having issues with yours, but that created another problem: the metal backing is easily bent and mine got all wavy from removing the clips so now the window frame snags it when rolling the windows all th...
