Re: Two more 68 Convertibles have surfaced

I have about 30 pictures of Rex's roadster I took at the 2005 Nationals in Dallas. They were taken with a 36MM SLR and I had the film put on disc so they are not as sharp as today's cellphone pictures, but you are welcome to them if you want. I have some of Eric's models with the car, Rex's photo al...

Yup, on a 68 that is the main power feed. Inside the car it splits to feed the fuse block, ignition switch and headlight switch.

Re: Burnt wire from starter solenoid to left of fuse panel

What year and model (standard, XR7)?

Most likely it is the main power feed to the interior of the car. This wire feeds the ignition switch, accessories, lights, etc. If it's melted you have/had a bad short somewhere and need to find and repair it before replacing the burned wire.

Re: Cruising downtown (Manchester, NH)

This brings back some memories. Do they still have the covered bridge cruise from the Toy Shop on Elm St?

Re: Replacing the tach in a 69 XR-7

The jumper completes the positive circuit to the coil. You can connect the red tach wire to that, but not the black. The black tach wire needs to be connected to a good ground. I don't know who's tach you bought, but they should wire to the industry standard. You can see the wiring instructions that...
