Re: 1970 351c 4v Headers

I looked at the mechanics invoice and it just says they got them from Summit Racing. It doesn't specify the brand or model number. Looks like they could be these https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pte-h8408-b/overview/year/1970/make/mercury/model/cougar or these https://www.summitracing.com/parts/do...

Re: 1970 351c 4v Headers

Possibly, I haven't really looked that close at them. I'll see if I can get a good angle to take a picture when I get home from work tonight. It's tight in there. I got a wrench wedged between the shock tower and the header on the drivers side and had a heck of a time getting it loose and out.

Re: 1970 351c 4v Headers

I am not sure what headers the shop wound up putting on mine, but I didn't need the drop bracket for the steering ram cylinder to clear them.

Re: My 70 XR7 Convertible with Eliminator mods

I was able to take the button out of my courtesy light switch and put it in the convertible top switch housing and that worked to get the convertible top switch working. So that experiment worked. Now I have to replace the courtesy light switch. When I pulled the cluster out I noticed I didn't have ...

Re: What is this called? And how hard is it to remove?

According to the part description, it was on XR7s and an option on Standard models. I am wondering if a previous owner wired the light to something else if your car doesn't have the switch. You'd have to start at the light and try to trace the wiring back. Or maybe someone took the switch off and st...
