Re: Back firing

I had something like this happening on a more modern vehicle and found I had a bad spark plug wire that was arcing to the manifold so the full spark for that cylinder wasn't making it to the plug. Somewhat easy to see in the dark as you could see the arcing from the wire to the manifold.

Re: Vacuum Resevoirs

The one on the drivers side is for the headlight doors and the one on the passenger side is for heat/air conditioning system. At least that is how it is on the 70.

Re: WCCC LED taillight bulbs worth their weight in gold!

[/quote] Sadly for a '70 it's an expensive proposition. All in well over $500 by the time you replace the sync board, two flashers, the tail lights, the marker adapters, and the marker bulbs. Especially painful considering I have already replaced the board and flashers with the non-LED models ...

Re: WCCC LED taillight bulbs worth their weight in gold!

Do the LED bulbs require any changes to the stock system or are they a direct replacement? How many changes it requires depends on the year model you are putting them in. The link below has a table that shows what is required for each year. https://ebayimages-westcoastclassic.netdna-ssl.com/plasma/...

I believe 69s had a chromed base. 70s have a painted base.

Re: 1968 AM/8-Track

Unfortunately that won't fit anything earlier than maybe a 71. The selector buttons are about 1/4" higher than the AM 8-track for the 70 so won't fit in the bezel opening of the 70 and earlier cars. I found this out the hard way. I bought a 73 AM 8-Track only to find it wouldn't fit the bezel of my ...

Re: 69 Rocky Mountain Purple R code rag.

Looking forward to seeing her after paint. Probably a good thing I didn't pick up one of those purple ones. My daughter is already laying claim to mine after I am gone. If it were purple she might be trying to speed that along.

Re: 1968 AM/8-Track

What is the part number on the AM 8-track radio you bought a few years ago? Depending on the year, some here including me might be interested in it.
