Re: Lots can happen in a year

I would hate to have to deal with that kind of loss. I'm glad your off to a fresh start. Good looking Cat and Dog. I think I'll go ahead and insure the project cars too!

Chris, I had forgotten about the work you did replacing the back part of that Cougar. Seeing it in person I can say you did a fantastic job! Saving my 69 428CJ 4spd XR7 will be a big undertaking. But, hopefully not as big as this one. i'm getting tired just thinking about restoring that one. Congra...

Re: 69 Hood Decal Question

The video is good but he is a pro and did not use any tac fluid. Without it a novice does not stand much of a chance IMO. Buy some Rapid Tac and it will give you a second chance when you make a mistake, it also lets you line things up a little before squeegeeing out the fluid. It took me more than t...

Beautiful car Chris! Great work on the restoration! Thanks Al! Hope to see you again soon. From one "ol' Lose-e-ana boy to another" to another I'd say you did a pretty good job.(Born in Monroe, but in Ca. for 60 years). Thanks Lou. I grew up in Tioga, just north of Alexandria/Pineville. Looks aweso...

Re: Running Hot

I had the same issue with an aftermarket temp sending unit. After installing it I was reading up near the hotline. I took it out and put an original back in and was back to the mid range.

Re: Vin numbers

I know of a car with a build date one day earlier than my 68 and a VIN sequence difference of 1252 after mine. Just an FYI.

Nice purchase, I know you’ve done your homework so now get it ready for the road and enjoy. Can’t wait to see it at a national event one day.

I enjoyed meeting and visiting with you Gary. I do remember buying the NOS back up lenses from you, for some reason I was thinking taillight lens that day. I look forward to seeing you at the next event or the next time I come through Gas City!

Re: Vote for the July 2019 Ride of the Month!

Thanks, it was a huge undertaking and I’m glad that it is just about over. I am still working out a few bugs. I did the painted top as a throwback to my first car which was a 68 two tone, Nordic blue with a white painted top. 800|600|2019|5230.jpg I just wanted to add a better picture of my car. I’v...
