Re: A different Export Brace & Monte Carlo rig

I built a setup like in the original post, with weld on brackets and heim joints. It stiffened the car up considerably, as long as you have the bars tight. The joints dont flex as long as you have all the bars in, I left the monte carlo bar out once after working on it and it had lots of flex, and h...

Re: Perfect Season?

It has been a pretty impressive season so far. I thought the same think about UK a couple years ago. They went undefeated in the regular season, but lost the SEC championship game. Then the went on to win the tournament. I think it was a fluke of some sort. I don't see it happening for Kentucky this...

Re: Engine / MPG

The best I have gotten was about 4 or 5, on 100 octane unleaded with a QFT Q750 carb on a 351C. I get around 80 miles per tank.

I hope you aren't just now discovering this movie Andy. I have it somewhere on vhs, probably packed away in the basement with the player.

Re: Detroit True Trac

Not related to cougars, but would this be a good choice for my truck? The clutch pack in the limited slip in my truck has apparently worn out after 250000 miles and is mostly only doing one wheel peel. It is an an f-250 4x4 with a diesel that now has 520 hp and 930 lb-ft. Just curious if this would...

Re: I NEED HELP, DIESEL ADVICE, ASAP

That's a nice looking truck. The only thing I see wrong with it is the air filter. I would take that off and put a Tymar kit on or the factory box back. Those K&N filters are turbo killers.

Re: I NEED HELP, DIESEL ADVICE, ASAP

I would stay away from a 6.0 at all costs if it were me, unless it has been "bullet proofed". All years of the 6.0 had issues, and is the main reason Ford didn't renew the contract with international. There was a big lawsuit against International over it all too. I had 2 6.0 work trucks, and both we...

Re: Ignition switch on 70 model .

Sounds like the pin that holds rod in the switch to the shaft in the column has come out. It will stay in the run position but wont let it pull the rod back out to turn it off. Should be able to take the cover off and put a pin back in, may even find the original pin in there somewhere.
