Re: Replacing top rail on 69

I was not mistaken, this piece is the sail area of the top frame. As luck would have it, the one piece I have left in my spares is the one you need! PM on the way to you.

Merry Christmas and Regards,

Robert

Re: Put her to bed for the Winter BUT...

I'd put my money on the TS Switch if the brake light switch is okay.

Re: Replacing top rail on 69

I'll look anyway but I think I have mixed up the sail area cast piece with the top rail cast piece. I have the sail area piece, not sure about the top rail piece.

Re: Under Hood and Trunk Lights

1969XR7Vert, I believe you misread or I mislead you, The under hood lights for 69/70 are the same except for the C9/ D0 numbers stamped on the mounting. The 69/70 trunk lights are the same, 70 using the C9 numbers. So to be clear the 69 hood light is stamped with a C9WB-15702-b and the 70 is D0WB-1...

Re: Under Hood and Trunk Lights

The 69 and 70 under hood lights are the same as is the trunk light. WCCC list them separately because of the C9/D0 numbers that are clearly stamped on the mounting tabs. We also have both under hood and trunk lights in stock. Huh? Not the same. Hood: https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/c9wy-15702...

Re: Replacing top rail on 69

I don't recall the top fabric being attached to this but I am getting old, feeble and forgetful :buck: You posted a driver side part listing, is this what you need? I have one side left as a spare part for my car, if it is the one you need, I can do way better on the price. I'll check and will PM yo...

Re: New project

Also, '67's do not have the PS front torque box, something that would be advisable to have with an FE engine (even though factory FE '67's did not have this either).

The AOD is a much simpler way to go IMO.

How do you make the 4R70W (electronic shift) work with my 72 cougar with a linkage for shifting?
With a computer controller of course!

So, I must know, how did you finally make out with your engine troubles?! It was quite the saga...

Robert
