Re: Heddman 88300 header install question

Might have to cut a 1/4" or 1/2" off the bolt to shorten up to make the bend. Had the same thing on my heddmans on a 429.

I have gotten a couple from these guys, very good quality. For my 70 cougar I got mine from WCCC and am very happy with it. This is just my .02 cents and another option.

Thanks for the input, I have watched it and that's why I decided to make it a winter project along with the motor and trans rebuild.

Re: HELP - 69/70 Vacuum leak. What is this hose?

I missed the electrical box part, unhook it and see if your motor runs better then is it the hose leaking or is something still unhooked. My headlight switch did that if the hoses get hooked up wrong.

Re: HELP - 69/70 Vacuum leak. What is this hose?

My best guess is vent door / heater control a lot of things like headlight switch are all vacuum operated on a cougar compared to a mustang. Just unhook it and plug the port and see if anything changes. I have to replace my heater core this winter so I am in for some fun.

275/60 come out to 28 inch so if you go back to 14 inch tire you could pick up 200 rpms at 60 so it might help . That is unless you do a lot of 4 lane driving, keep bumping up your timing and see if that helps.
