Re: Gauge tester in development.

Bill, I am definitely in for one with the light. Sure will help to diagnose issues without taking the car apart, unless it needs it.

Re: Finally...my daily driver.

I'm glad that you worked through all of the issues. You should feel very proud. There's a lot of people that haven't got as far as you have. Great job.

Re: Low fuel sending unit

No problem Bill. How about I send you my 68 and you send me back a 69. The 68 can go to whomever you like.

Re: Low fuel sending unit

Bill, I was going to send you a 68 XR-7 unit to rebuild, but I put in a larger 69 fuel tank.
Do you want to do a swap where you don't have to cut one up?
I think the 69 sender would probably work better in the 69 tank.

Re: Looking for my dads Canadian 69 Orange 428 eliminator

You will probably need to add some more information, like what area, and any other info you might have. You can also contact Phil Parcels who maintains the Cougar database project for the CCOA (cougarclub.org).
Good luck, I hope you can find it.

Re: Lucas Fog/Driving Lights

It would make this much easier if you would post several pictures of what you have so that some of us, that are well acquainted with the Lucas and Marchal lamps, can give you some definitive answers.

Re: Dearborn versus San Jose

There were no Cougars built at San Jose in 1967. I believe 1968 and 1969 were the only model years for Cougars built at San Jose. I could write a book about the differences in hardware and paint processes and inspector markings, build tags, build sheets. No way I would have time in a week to type a...

Re: 3 point seat belt options

So if I understand correctly, the short static piece replaces the female-side buckle that sits between the console (if equipped) and the seat. The retractor directly replaces the existing retractor bolted on the outboard side of the seat. The belt goes up from the retractor to a guide that is mount...

Borgeson also "remanufactures" the factory-style steering gearboxes. I have one in my Cat. It works really well.
I couldn't find anything about that on their site. Could you point me in the right direction?
