Re: 1968 Cougar proportioning valve??

Did you look at your rubber hose that makes the jump over the rear axle? I had the same issue 7 years ago and this was the issue. The rubber hose separated from itself on the inside and was closing on itself when pumping the pedal. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. I was bleeding the brakes again and aga...

Re: REAR BRAKES WON'T BLEED

Thanks Bill. Wasn't sure what was inside the SS line. I am thinking that might be a good place to start. It was great digging into this much needed upkeep on both Merc's.

I recently just passed my purchase-versary with my Cat. It's been a quick 7 years. When I first got her I did a lot of the u...

I did the epoxy with the paint chips too. Yes it had discolored a bit in places but I would do it again as well.

Re: 1969 XR-7 Clock Removal

There is a great video on WCCC's site for this dash pad removal. I did mine, exact same ride as yours and with taking your time you can handle this. If there are other things you were planning on doing while the dash pad is out, now is the time.

Good luck.

Re: Shuddering When Driving

How old is your battery? Mine had intermittent electrical issues that felt painful to the car and me driving it. It ended up being the battery had a bad cell. Perhaps the constant drain from the clock takes its toll on the battery. Good luck.

Re: WCCC open house 2018

Just like the 50th, this is also on my list of "Cougar Events" to attend. The trailering of her out sounds the best here with many stops along the way. Makes me remember a 5 week cross country trip I took in 1990. KOA's and many friends along the way. This year might be a push with other stuff going...
