Re: Boss 429 Cougars - Production Vehicle, or not?

With only 2 going anyplace but internal Ford use I would call them Prototypes. Many Prototypes were made for the Mustang line including the 2 Quarter Horse Mustangs that used the Cougar dash. IMHO prototypes, proof of concept are usually the same thing when it comes to a complete assembly like a car...

1970 radiator core support with holes, for Mustang hood locks.
I missed that... But in my defense the top of the core support does have the wide areas where they go. The rear edge would be nearly straight for a 69 core support.

Re: Refitting gas tank with new trunk floor

Mustang and Cougar tanks are not the same. That is one thing I would say to check. But looking at your picture it looks to me like the opening in the trunk floor is on the wrong place.

Standing on the passengers side does the opening look like itis in the same location as mine?

Re: How can I reuse a Mustang sport mirror on the Cougar?

Thanks. And holy crow that’s a lot It is. Another one you can use id the base from a mid 70's T-bird(or other mid size ford product from the time) They are a remote controlled mirror. You can use the full thing or just the base, It sits just a little bit lower then the correct "D0OB" base and IMHO ...
