Re: Fuel Tank Positioning

I'm not sure where your offset is coming in, I'm pretty sure the tank is supposed to be dead center in the trunk floor, the filler neck is centered on the tank, and the opening is centered in the taillight panel.

Re: Best Coolant ?

I was going to go this route: https://www.evanscoolant.com I was gonna say, the real answer to the "best coolant" question is waterless coolant. Evans is one of the makers, there are some others out there too. I have no firsthand experience with it but it sounds like a good way to go. Of course it'...

Re: New Walking Cat Rubber Floor Mats

I can't believe these aren't just being produced in colors. If you're already set up to do black how hard can it be to produce a couple different colors. I don't know exactly how it works, but my guess is that they have to do a run of several hundred at a time. The odds of selling several hundred r...

Re: WCCC Photo Contest 2018

Well, the contest has come to a close! I have my work cut out for me, going through all the entries and figuring out which ones to feature in the calendar. There are some great photos this year, and it's always fun to see the variety of cars and locations. As with last year, I'm going to keep the wi...

Re: New Walking Cat Rubber Floor Mats

That SEM paint is magical, I tell ya. We'll have to see how well it holds up to foot scuffing, the next time that guy shows up.

Re: Question about nuts and bolt restoration

I'd avoid painting fasteners if possible. I've been taking a gentle cleaning approach with a brass wire brush to knock off the crud and surface rust without removing whatever coating is on them, then soak in a good penetrating oil & wipe with rags as needed. This gives them a nice clean dark look, t...

Re: New Walking Cat Rubber Floor Mats

Here's an update on the painting experiment! A customer stopped by with a blue '68 so I took the opportunity to throw these painted mats in and take some pics. They had plenty of time to cure and they look pretty nice! He's going to keep them in place for a while and see how they wear. Obviously, th...

Re: halogen headlight conversion kit

When I go to this site, The application does not say for my 1973 Cougar. Can you check it out and see if it will work or not? I already ordered the other outside Plasma replacement bulbs. Oops, I posted the 67-68 version by mistake. 69-73 version is here. I think the main difference is the relay wi...
