Re: 71 72 styled steel wheels

Hay Don, Is there a chance your wheel vender will do a run of that wheel with Chrome 15 inch rims? No, not unless someone wants to do a repro. Finding core centers to re-rim into 15" is very hard to do. They are reproduced in Australia but I have no way of easily getting them here. https://secure.c...

Re: 71 72 styled steel wheels

We have them. The trim rings are getting hard to find but keep in mind they used them on the ford painted 14x7 magnum wheel and sometimes you can get lucky and find them for $30 each advertised as 1975 Ranchero or 1976 Ford Elite https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/71kelsey.html?attribs=81 https:/...

We will have black, fronts only, for sale very soon. If you want something more than black then JCC is your best bet.

BTW - Jim Pinkerton has seen this car in person and has some details that one would want to know before pursuing it further. I always suggest that one contact the registrar on any make that is closely followed.

Re: 72 re-listed

Wow! That convertible is a clean ride! I think some sellers try to mimic what your average retail dealers do. They put a double the value sticker price on it and someone will in time admire it and say "That's crazy! I would give you half that amount maybe..." Next thing you know you are in a small r...

A little more info... Don, It was a pleasure speaking with you yesterday. I am a retired university professor. I taught economics at American University here in Washington DC for more than 20 years. I bought my Cougar in 1975 in Winnipeg, Canada, when I was a PhD student at the University of Manitob...

1968 GTE xr7 For Sale in Washington DC

The owner of 40 years contacted me wanting help re-homing his beloved GTE. The 427 is long gone and replaced with a 400hp 428cj. He tried to keep it away from winter driving but it has had some rust repair and as evidenced by the shock towers needs some more TLC. It is a driver as it sits. He is ask...

Do we have any indication as to the quality of these panels, i.e., will they actually fit?
They always send us panels for test fit before they go public.

Re: A sneak peek into the future...

We get calls all the time from prospective buyers of project Cougars who end up not buying because of our lack of good used 1/4's and no quality repros. Thank you Scott for echoing what we have been saying for years. Having a much bigger operation like NPD ask for sheet metal parts lends more creden...
