Looks like a camshaft retainer for a SOHC 2.3 4-cylinder. Installs at the back of the head.

I did the same conversion to a 69 XR 7 hardtop that did not have factory air. I installed the lower dash from an AC car as Brian mentioned and adapted the center ductwork to the factory vent as well. It works fine. I did the interior part one day, the under-hood part on another.

I have Bob's three-wire converted tach in my 69 XR 7 and recommend it highly.

Guessing I can disconnect the TS switch so I can move the car into the garage.

Are the available 69 switches any good?
