For all rights and purposes all factory-style steering gears for these cars are "manual". The steering assist is separate from the gearbox.

We drive by there fairly regularly and always strain our eyes to see what's parked out front, cool to see a Cougar on the inventory. Edit: Interesting mix of "options", shows H code, but 4V aircleaner lid that doesn't match, no XR7 badges and odd looking black around the gauges.... No clock.......

Stabil is not a fuel system cleaner. It is an additive that slows the process of deterioration of gasoline. Techron is probably as good as any other "petroleum distillate" for cleaning fuel systems. I ran a Holley for a while and got tired of leaks and stuck floats. I have had an Edelbrock carb on my 69 XR 7 for many years. No leaks, no sticking. It ran great out of the box. Pretty sure both have an indexing point. One spot on each shaft has "missing" splines.
