Harmonic Balancer Bolt

Hello all... So, I foolishly lost the harmonic balancer bolt for my 390 in the middle of my rebuild project and now I need another one. In the interest of expediency, I contacted my local Mustang Shop (please don't hate me...) to try to find one quick. Buddy told me he had one, but it was listed for...

Re: Anyone in the San Jose Area inspect a Cougar for a fee?

A beautiful car indeed. I would urge you however to thoroughly inspect the rust around the rear window. I had a '69 XR7 with the same symptom and it turned out to be much worse than I thought. The window leaked every time I washed it, so I thought it best to remove the glass and have it professiona...

I can't think of any other major rust issues that I had. Be sure however to thoroughly inspect the trunk area and also the area surrounding the battery tray. Torque boxes too. I'm no expert, just been bitten once or twice. I really hope it goes well for you.

"...one owner car."

"So, what can you tell me about the history of it?"
"Not much really..."

Hmmm...I guess one owner means just one owner AT A TIME...

Like Bill said I think they make two different H-pipes, one to use with the spacer and one without it.
The manifolds I ordered come with a spacer, so I should be able to sort it out hopefully.

Thanks all...

Re: H-Pipe Exhaust Question

I have a 67 6.5 4speed that has those miserable headers. I have a set of 390 GT exhaust manifolds, what is the difference in the 428 CJ manifold or modifications that might need to be made As posted by Bill (above) in another thread concerning this very subject... "You will need to change one bolt ...

I did exactly the same install on my '67 XR-7 GT: 428CJ manifolds and H pipe. Just be sure to get the spacer figured out.
Thank you very much Bill...I appreciate your time.

H-Pipe Exhaust Question

Hello friends, So upon the advice of a few forum members here, I have decided to part with my long-tube Hooker Headers and replace them with a pair of repro 428CJ manifolds. I've been advised that the manifolds will indeed fit my '67 GT 390 with minimum modifications. My question is regarding my sel...
