Re: Instrument Specialties and my bezels

Wow, went from bad to worse. On the lens buttons, did they send you the XR7 buttons or the cones for a standard? Whichever they sent, what was the quality on them?

Re: Instrument Specialties and my bezels

And your DS bezel is a '68. What year is your car?

Re: Instrument Specialties and my bezels

Your PS bezel is an XR7, you won't be able to mount the dash face pad to it.

Re: 1969 Center Console Hard Plastic Repair

I've used Plastex extensively and consider it an excellent product for the different plastics used on our cars. The $30 kits they sell on Amazon are enough for a surprising number of repairs. In one of the videos I've seen in the past, they demonstrate a drop of solvent in the powder, then using a p...

Re: 68XR7 driver dash Bezel and 67xr7 passenger side issues?

The 67 and 68 XR7 passenger side bezels are identical, except for the metal mounting bracket(s) on the back. 67 XR7 uses five separate metal brackets, whereas the 68 XR7 uses a single integrated metal bracket which is much stronger/better. So the answer is yes, the bezel will work just fine. EDIT: D...

Re: Extension hole plug

Thanks to desertdave55 :beerchug: for setting me up with a replacement column to mine for parts! It's from a Mustang and, aside from color, is identical. One difference I've noted, though, is that the column extension has a plug (377977-S) in the attachment screw access hole: ColumnExtensionPlug.JP...

Re: What do we believe in?

I believe that the Speed Control System option is inherently dangerous, and the turn signal stalk actuator should unexpectedly self-destruct to avert a disaster.
