Re: insane suspension project

Usually I'm not the type of guy who complains about certain donor cars being used for the betterment of projects. But I have a huge soft spot for 87 and 88 T-Birds. ;) The Donor car was a 5.0 auto fully loaded. I think it had every option possible. 6 way power seats with power recline, power window...

Overspray

Hi Everyone, Over the past couple months I have done some priming and painting on a project in my carport with my 2017 Cruze sitting right behind my project. Well last Sunday was a nice cool day and thought I would wash the Cruze. Every panel felt like sandpaper even the clear headlight lenses. :sho...

Re: insane suspension project

Interesting, 5.0 Coyote? If I win the lottery maybe, I am looking at a 2000 ford Explorer or Mountaineer 5.0 2wd auto O\D for powertrain. This would give me obdII and cam crank sensors (no distributor). I am even considering using the ABS system. front spindles already have sensor mounts and rings....

The donor car used for parts was a 1992 Thunderbird (control arms, rack, cradle) crad...

Re: 1968 steering wont return to center

did you get a printout of alignment? iirc factory specs has a neg caster, if so a positive caster may help (even if only 0.25). radial tire prefer a positive caster.

Re: How do we help folks that don't know how to use a forum?

As an owner/administrator of a forum myself I understand your difficulties. While my site is much less active these days I still get these type of e-mails. One thing you could try would be a chat window. Some chat window will even allow guest to post, but this requires constant monitoring. And chat ...

Re: Hood adjustment

Have you tried tilting the hinges down in the rear ? Open hood, loosen the bolts, loosen the front bolt only slightly, the push upward on the front of the hood, making the hinges move down in the rear, tighten the bolts, close hood and see if there is any changes :) I have found it also helps if yo...
