Re: Radio Restoration??

Sorry for the detour. I am interested in how your radio turns out. I have a few that are probably going to require some attention. It will be nice to know of a place that puts out good work.

Since this is a Cougar forum I will assume that you have a '68 since that is the only year a Cougar came with a C4.
What did a ‘67 small block come with?

Re: Radio Restoration??

Funny I’ve always found the USPS to be the most reliable. And on the rare occasion something did happen they cut me a check right on the spot. I had an expensive piece of equipment damaged by UPS and they refused to pay. They claimed it wasn’t packaged properly despite the fact that I made a wooden ...

Are these the only known date codes?

781
705
7A2
7A3
833
834
934 - service replacement
962 - service replacement
964 - service replacement

There has to be at least one earlier date, anyone have one? Or one that isn’t on this list?
Updated the list to add the new discovery.

Awesome! Way better than my wife’s Christmas lights. (Don’t tell her I said that)

Re: Another "Phase 1" project

Fair warning if I like your idea I’m stealing it. I have a huge pile of those. Makes me chuckle every time someone lists one on eBay with a cracked lens and wants $150 for it because it’s rare.

Re: Ring Brothers Newest Build / 1967 Cougar xr7

I get it... I too grin when on occasion I get the opportunity to drive a Cougar that still has the noisy mechanical sequential, brings back memories of a 17 year old warming up his 68 with Cherry bombs in the morning and thinking my neighbors are probably really impressed with the rap my exhaust ma...

Re: Ring Brothers Newest Build / 1967 Cougar xr7

I’m not sure I would risk contaminating one of my Cougars with Chebby germs. And Probe / Mazda germs are any better? :poke:  I would love for mine to close a little slower too. They do kind of slam now with the probe motor I used. Still love the upgrade and would not go back to vacuum actuated...
