Re: How can I reuse a Mustang sport mirror on the Cougar?

To use the Mustang mirror you will have to mount it on the side of the door.
I used a Torino sport mirror on my '69. Maybe you can find one of those and work out a trade.

Re: Question about '69 vs '70 details

Actually I really like the vent flow in the kick panels. It pulls alot of air through the cowl vent and without A/C I'm glad its there on those hot days. The '69 has the kick panel vents too, but does not have the 'Flow-through' vent in the door jam. If we want better air flow we have to 'crack a w...

Re: Trip Odometer repair

When I repair/reface them I prefer that the trip odometer be out of the speedo. It's really no big deal either way.

Re: Where do I find the neutral start switch and back up lights wiring?

The neutral start switch was on the C4 originally. The wires probably left with it. The four wire plug is on the firewall I believe.

According to this https://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums ... ch.657683/ There is an adapter cable from Ron Morris available.

Re: Repro wiring diagram

I use them all the time. I have them for Mustangs & Cougars, as well as a 71 Chevelle. I have requested a 68 XR7 and 85 GMC 1500, but nothing yet..

Re: OEM Radio Restore

I used Retro Radio in PA. I met Mike and his wife at Ford Carlisle years ago. Nice people, good work.

Wow, he's got posts in three subtopics now :) Everyone needs a metal detector in the trunk of their Cougar. They can prove they have no bondo in their quarters :)
But can it also find drywall plaster?

Re: Poll for fun to help me decide

I had to go with the 70 because of the 69's more expensive rust.
I hate dealing with rust - it never ends.
You can always put a '69 nose on the '70, fill in the huge side markers and paint it orange.

Re: Rocketman Tachometer Question

I've had a Rocketman 8000 RPM 3-wire tachometer in my '69 Eliminator for several years, and have been very very happy with it. Unfortunately, when I started the car yesterday, the tach needle immediately dropped to a position about 20 degrees below the Zero marking, and stays there regardless of RP...
