Re: Flexplate replacement

They don't separate easily. You could try some penetrating oil on the dowel pins, but it's been my experience that wiggling up,down, left, right with a bit of pissed off frustration is the only way.
While I'm think of it: You removed the four converter to flexplate nuts, right?

Re: Cougar spotted in TV Show

Saw a white '68 on Hawaii Five-O (the good one) 'A bullet for McGarrett' episode.
Didn't note the time - about 3/4 through it.

Re: Telemarketers Robo callers and other criminals

If I'm not real busy I like to play along and see how long I can keep them from calling someone else. My best is the confused old man with too many credit cards, but my barely intelligible Spanglish is pretty good too. My favorite is 'Joe' the half in the bag welfare voter that wants all the free st...

Re: Flexplate replacement

Make sure that you have all the alignment pins in place. If a pin or two is missing you will probably end up with a busted flexplate or worse.
Use a bit of lube on them to help things slide together easier.

Re: Horns

The horns are wired direct - no relay. Power comes from the headlight switch through the horn button out to the horns and grounds through the horn mounts. The headlight switch power is one wire that supplies the horns, headlights, parking lights, courtesy lights, cigar lighter and headlight door sol...

ID this Tachometer

Does anyone know what this tachometer came out of? It has the same D1CF-71360 part number as the 71-73 Cougar XR7 and the shape is the same, but the graphics are different.

How old are the rubber flex lines on the car ? After years of use the rubber swells from the inside and chokes off the fluid flow.
This is especially true if the newer synthetic fluids are used.
