Re: Can I paint my wheels and make em look like this?

So just this summer, last time I washed the car, paint flaked off the wheels quite a bit right at the lug holes. It was the pressure of the water coming out of the hose-- not a pressure washer but just a regular garden hose-- that "chipped" away some of the paint.

Re: Fuel filter location

Doesn't seem like it would be a fuel line issue, since the carb should have plenty of gas sitting in the bowls to keep running for a spell. Does the car just stall immediately, like just shut right down, or does it gradually sputter itself out? If it shuts down immediately that would make me suspect...

Re: Stripped Oil Drain Plug :-/

To replace the stripped screw on the oil pan on my bike, my dad helped me install a helicoil that received the original bolt. Works a champ.

Re: Hello all; the TMH Chicago Cat project

Thanks for the heads-up Art! I don't have any literature, just bought a reman pump and a hose kit and the big-block style mount from WCCC which didn't come with any paperwork. As it was when I bought it, it didn't have the clamp you reference, and I tried searching the WCCC site and couldn't find it.

Re: Hello all; the TMH Chicago Cat project

Also, here's some video of the PS system in operation. It's kind of what I expected, in that turning the wheels all the way left or right seems to be something that shouldn't be allowed to happen, puts a lot of strain on the whole system and even audibly bogs down the engine. Is this a sign of somet...

Re: Hello all; the TMH Chicago Cat project

I ended up needing to re tighten the hose connections, after being put through the paces some more leaking was going on. Tightened them all back down and now the leaking seems to be localized to the connection of the hose that sits the highest up on the control valve, the one that is the hardest to ...

Re: Would you attend a 3 day NATIONAL Cougar show/ event?

For what it's worth, the two specific locations you mention are nowhere near either coast, they are here in the middle of the country. ;) Having it in the middle means making it a long trip for anyone on the west coast AND east coast. Nobody gets a short trip except those of us in the middle, which ...

Happy trails. May each new venture be increasingly awesome. Sad to see ya go, but it's probably for the best, it was starting to smell kinda funky in here anyway

Re: Hello all; the TMH Chicago Cat project

Finally had a chance to get back out in the garage this past weekend. Managed to get the new hose in place, the trick was to orient it in a way that had the threads as straight in to the control valve's seat as possible even though that's not where the hose was ultimately routed, and then reorient i...
